What we can help with
- Corrections. A fare that has gone up, a warung that has closed, a museum that has changed its hours, a TransJakarta corridor that has been rerouted. These are the most useful messages we get and they are dealt with first.
- Gaps in the coverage. If you looked for something about Jakarta on this site and could not find it, that is worth telling us. Requests shape what gets written next.
- Questions about what a guide actually says. If a passage is ambiguous, ask — and the guide will usually get rewritten as a result.
- Press, syndication and permissions. Requests to quote or republish material from the site.
What we cannot help with
- Bookings of any kind. This site is not a travel agency or a tour operator. We cannot reserve a hotel room, buy a ticket, arrange an airport transfer or cancel anything you have booked elsewhere. If you have a problem with a booking, the operator or the platform you booked through is the only party who can resolve it.
- Visas and immigration. Entry rules for Indonesia change and getting them wrong is expensive. Check the Indonesian immigration authority or your nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate — not a travel site, and not us.
- Emergencies in Jakarta. This inbox is not monitored around the clock and is no use in an emergency. In Indonesia the general emergency number is 112; police are on 110 and ambulance on 118. Your embassy in Jakarta is the right contact for a lost passport or a consular problem.
- Paid placement. Listings, reviews and rankings on this site are not for sale, so pitches offering payment for inclusion, link insertion or sponsored posts will not get a reply.
